Morning with the Curators: October 5, 9-11am, Smathers Library, Grand Reading Room and Judaica Suite

Please join us for an informal meet and greet with Curators and Experts in the Libraries for Humanities and Arts Graduate Students and Faculty.  The Curators will share rare and unique treasures from the collections and introduce ways of thinking about and working with texts, collections, and materiality, including 3D printing. The event will start with brief introductions by all Curators, and then time for small group conversations with the Curators.

Curators and their Collections:

  • Sara Russell Gonzalez, 3D printing and more
  • Suzan Alteri, Baldwin Library of Historical Children’s Literature
  • Katalin Rac, Isser and Rae Price Library of Judaica
  • Margarita Vargas-Betancourt, Latin American & Caribbean Collections

Schedule:

  • 8:50-9am: cookies, fruit, and conversation in Smathers Library, second floor lobby
  • 9-9:20am: brief introductory remarks by curators
  • 9:20-9:45am: small group conversations (also as a tour/visit for Judaica and LACC)
  • 9:45-10:10am: rotate into new small group conversations
  • 10:10-10:35am: rotate into new small group conversations
  • 10:35-11am: rotate into new small group conversations
