DHWG Meet-Up: HASTAC Scholars Program w/Dhanashree Thorat

September 20, 2016 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Digital Humanities Working Group (DHWG) Meet-Up:

HASTAC Scholars Program

Tuesday, 20 September 2016, 2:00 – 3:00 pm, Library West 212 (Scott Nygren Studio)

The HASTAC Scholars Program is an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their Digital Humanities related projects and research to the broader DH community. The program is open to students who work at the intersection of technology, and the humanities, arts, and sciences. Selected for a year-long term, Scholars discuss and share their work on the HASTAC Scholars blog, discussion forums, and at events at their home institution.

Join us for an info session on the HASTAC Scholars Program on 20 September, from 2pm – 3pm in Library West 212. Dhanashree Thorat, one of the HASTAC Scholar’s from UF last year, will lead an informal discussion on the application process, project possibilities, and the fellowship award. Students interested in applying for the program are welcome to bring project ideas for further brainstorming.

The UF Digital Humanities Working Group (DHWG) is a group of academic and library faculty, staff, and graduate students who meet monthly to discuss current topics at the intersection of digital technologies and the humanities and support each other in project development. The 2015-16 meet-ups will explore new programs, projects, and resources in the digital humanities at UF. These informal gatherings are open to anyone at any level of interest or expertise. Come join us for sharing and discussion!

For more information on the Digital Humanities at UF and to join the DHWG, see the DHWG webpage.
